African Women in Leadership Organisation (AWLO) is an international not-for-profit organization with a membership that is open to all women of African Descent. Since its inception, AWLO has been working tirelessly to change the narrative of women’s leadership in Africa through gender parity, leadership effectiveness, and global development.
AWLO brings together female executives, professionals, and leaders to further advance the leadership status of women in the continent of Africa, by creating an empowering platform and harnessing the synergies of the alliance.
Founded in 2009 through the visionary leadership of Hon. Dr. Elisha Attai, AWLO has impacted countless women across the African continent and the diaspora.
AWLO membership is a support system of members of AWLO, who exemplify the AWLO Pledge; a commitment to build and influence one another to become leading women.
To commemorate this year’s 2021 Membership Induction Dinner, AWLO has deemed it fit to recognize some phenomenal women of worth who have dedicated their lives to the service of the nation.
These women have made personal and professional sacrifices with tremendous impact within their area of responsibility and as such deserving of this recognition.
Their exemplary conduct and outstanding achievements have made them notable role models to the younger generation.
